New Thru 40- Day15

1 Corinthians 12:27- “Now you are the body of Christ, and each one of you is a part of it.”

In this section, Paul is using the metaphor of the physical body to remind the church in Corinth of some very important truths that are still pertinent today:

1. You are the body of Christ- Every believer is a part of the Church (world-wide church), so they should be a contributing member of a local church. An eyeball sitting alone on the floor would look pretty funny (and gross).

2. You are important- Every part of the body is necessary and important. We all fulfill different roles, but they are all equally important.

3. You are needed- For the body of Christ to function fully, all individuals must do their part. Can you drag a deadbeat leg around? Sure. But it would be easier if it would do its part.

Imagine a church body where every person is fully committed to the same vision. It would be unstoppable!
